The Village at Mill Creek will replace the current Stillwaters Private Hospital. The Village at Mill Creek will offer an assortment of services to Kelowna's seniors. There will be both Assisted Living Suites and Residential Care Services at the Village campus. The Village at Mill Creek is currently under construction, with completion of phase two scheduled for November 2006. The third and final stage of construction will commence after completion of phase two.
Village amenities will include
- Wellness Centre with exercise equipment and the location of Tai Chi, exercise classes and wellness programs.
- Well appointed common areas for entertaining and socializing.
- Library with Internet connection.
- Chapel.
- General Store.
- Bistro for public and private functions.
- Games area with pool table, shuffle board, chess table, puzzles, etc.
- Activity programs such as music, outings, crafts, movies, cooking, and games.
- Landscaped gardens with pergolas, benches and water features.
- Incorporation of a Wellness Model.
Supportive Living Program
- Services associated with Supportive Living, Home Care, Assisted Living and Enhanced Services.
- Studio and one bedroom suites containing microwaves, mini fridges, walk-in showers and a variety of views.
- Three meals served in three dining rooms.
- Utilities included (except telephone and cable). 12 channels of satellite television included.
- Home Support Worker on staff twenty four hours a day.
Residential Care Program
- Licensed under the Community Care and Assisted Living Act.
- All suites are government subsidized.
- All suites government subsidized.
- Private suites each with European bathrooms.
- Large country style kitchen - beverages and fruit always available.
- Meals prepared in-house.
- Professional and non professional staff twenty four hours a day.
