When should I start looking into Retirement Residences?
|
It is never too early to start thinking about enjoying life in one of our beautiful retirement residences. Contrary to popular thought, enjoying life in a Retirement Residence does not take away independence, rather with the gourmet cooking and cleaning done for you there is more time to enjoy the activities you always wished you had time for, golfing, reading, swimming, traveling! Besides, if independence means cooking and cleaning everyday, who wouldn't gladly give that up for a life of carefree living! |
| What if my needs increase as I live in a Retirement Residence? |
At Pacific Sun we know that aging is a natural process and we have specific programs to provide for our residents who may find themselves with increasing care needs. Horizon Home Support is owned and operated by Pacific Sun Retirement Living and is able to provide services such as medication reminders, grooming and hygiene needs, companionship, accompaniment on shopping trips and more. If further care is needed we provide consultations to our residents and their families to help them make the best decision for their health care needs. |
| What do I bring when I move in to a retirement residence or care facility? |
| We strive to make each of our retirement residences feel like home to the residents, thus we encourage new residents to bring their furniture, pictures, bedding and other reminders of home. Keep in mind that the size of your suite will determine how many of your personal belongings you will want to bring. For detailed information contact the facility of your choice to find about suites dimensions and what furnishing is provided for you in the suite. |
| What is a funded bed? |
| A funded bed means part of the cost is covered through Government Funding and part of the cost is covered by the resident. The cost to the resident varies depending on their income. This cost is also subject to change quarterly. |
